Who We Are
My name is Carolyn O’Connell, M.S., LABA, BCBA, and I’m the founder of The O’Connell Group Behavioral Consulting.
I’ve spent the past 15+ years working in public schools, private clinics, and family homes supporting children, teens, and young adults with a wide range of needs. My approach is deeply collaborative, compassionate, and strengths-based, with a focus on helping individuals and families thrive in their natural environments.
My greatest passion lies in working with neurodivergent adolescents and young adults, especially those navigating life transitions - from middle school to high school, and from high school into adulthood. I believe that behavior support should go beyond reducing challenges. It should empower individuals with the tools, confidence, and self-advocacy skills they need to lead meaningful lives.
Whether I’m helping a non-speaking child build communication skills, coaching a teen to develop executive functioning strategies, or supporting a parent through a tough behavioral moment, my goal is the same: to provide thoughtful, respectful, and practical support that truly prepares individuals for what’s next.
“Behavior support should be dignified, collaborative, and truly prepare individuals for what’s next.”
